Mayo Clinic began as the small practice of Dr. William Worrall Mayo and his sons, William James and Charles Horace.  From there it became the largest integrated, not-for-profit medical practice in the world.  It is part of Mayo Clinic's mission to serve as a reliable source of health information. Mayo Clinic is a not-for-profit medical practice dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of virtually every type of complex illness.  Its website, www.mayoclinic.com, is dedicated to providing people with medical information and tips on healthy living.  It is a searchable database of over 35 disease and lifestyle categories.
